Peanutbutterlovers.com is published by the Southern Peanut Growers, a non-profit trade association representing peanut farmers in Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi. These four states grew 65% of the U.S. crop in 2008.

Established in 1980, the Southern Peanut Growers was formed to educate American consumers about the U.S. peanut industry and its products. The Southern Peanut Growers receives funds through a self-assessed checkoff made by southeastern peanut farmers.
